    We are thinking about taking our first "family" disney vacation in 2014. Which resort is better for kids Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom? My kids will be 6, 4, and 2. We want a resort with good pools and good activities for the kids

    Tough choice...like asking a parent to choose their favorite child! :)
    I think Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge are two of the best themed Deluxe resorts in all of Walt Disney World. I give a slight edge to Wilderness Lodge for its proximity to Magic Kingdom, but everything else is a virtual tie. Both resorts have very good food choices and both have decent pools. I believe that there is more to do for the kids at Animal Kingdom Lodge, where they can step out onto a few different viewing areas to check out the animals, and/or speak with cast members to learn about what they are seeing...both edicational and fun. There will be a list of the most current resort activities available at check-in, but I think AKL offers just a bit more for your age group.
