I am thinking of taking my daughters ages 9 & 4 for a quick trip at the end of May. We have been there 8 times, but I am neverous but going alone, without my husband or another adult. Any suggestions??? Especially where to stay????

    Hi Rebecca,

I say go for it!  Although I am a single mother I usually travel to Walt Disney World with either my mom or dad in tow (someone always has to stay at home with the dog) so we take turns!  When this is the case I do have some help, but I do travel a lot with my 7 year old on my own and we take our time, relax and don't try and rush anything so we will have a good time.  I have traveled alone with my daughter since she was 2 1/2 years old and I have never felt like I have needed an extra pair of hands to help (although it is nice sometimes!).  You do have 2 children with you but your 9 year old would probably love to be your spare set of hands and help out mommy if she can with her sister (this will make her feel like a grown up...I think!).  You are also lucky with the fact that you have been so many times and knowing where you are and where you are going will help a lot.  I would try and stay fairly close to the parks and if you are on a budget then the "value" resorts are perfect.  They are centrally located to the parks and not only will you have short bus transportation times between the resort and the parks, but you will be fairly close to go back to your resort for a midday nap, rest, lunch or pool swim before going back later at night for some more fun!  I think traveling alone with your children will give you that alone "bonding" time with your princesses that will be remembered as your private "girl" time vacation forever....and that is priceless!  Have fun, don't worry, take your time and make many memories just the 3 of you...you will love this experience, it's a good thing!!!!  Hakuna Matata!

    Have a magical day!
