    Hello Lael,

Thanks for coming to see us here at planDisney. What could be more magical than moving closer to the Walt Disney World Resort!

It's great to hear you're planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort as one of your first experiences as a new Florida resident. Celebrating a birthday at "The Most Magical Place on Earth" always makes for a special birthday.

My suggestion for one of the first steps you'll want to take is to update your My Disney Experience account with your new Florida residential address.

To update your account, you'll want to click on the "Profile" link, just under your name, in the My Disney Experience menu section. You'll see a "Personal Information" section where you can edit your billing address and shipping address.

If you don't already have a My Disney Experience account, you can quickly create one.

When you sign in to your my Disney Experience account as a Florida resident, you'll want to go to the Parks & Tickets menu, then look in the Admissions section for a menu link for Florida Residents. This is where you'll see the theme park admission options for Florida residents, including options for special savings. Currently, for example, Florida residents can save 40% on a 4-Day Ticket.

You'll also see information on how to verify your Florida residency online. By verifying your Florida residency online, you can save some time by skipping the step of visiting Guest Relations.

Florida residents who purchase a Florida Resident theme park admission will need to provide proof for their Florida residential address. Examples of accepted proof of Florida residency include a valid driver's license from Florida with your Florida home address. You can see the full list of identification items that are accepted for proof of Florida residency with this Frequently Asked Question information.

One tip to remember is that you'll want to make your theme park reservations through the Disney Park Pass system after you purchase your theme park tickets. It's always a good idea to check for Theme Park Reservation Availability before you purchase your tickets.

When it comes to planning how to enjoy the magic in the theme parks, I highly recommend taking a look at the planDisney Video Library. You'll discover lots of fun tips for how to make the most of your theme park visit. Of course, you can also always come back and ask questions here at planDisney.

Here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today, and here's wishing you a safe and smooth relocation!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
