We r thinking about taking a cruise in Dec '12 for 3 nights b4 our week in WDW. We have never taken a cruise b4. Worried kids might be afraid. How soon should we book? Will book WDW in Feb. Do we make dining resv, like WDW? whats included? Thx!

    Hi, Michelle!

That's fantastic that you're thinking of sailing with Disney Cruise Line (DCL) before your Walt Disney World vacation!

I had never cruised before when we sailed with DCL more than 4 years ago when my children ranged in age from 3 to 13.  They all were mesmerized by the whole voyage -- from checking in at the port terminal to reluctantly debarking on our last moment on board. Disney cruises have been a treasured part of our family's vacation memories ever since.

Generally speaking, it's always a "cruising rule of thumb" that the sooner you book, the less expensive the fare. Therefore, as soon as you know when and where -- you're going to want to nail down your vacation plans by booking online at DisneyCruise.com, by calling 800-951-3532 or contacting your travel agent.

One of the greatest aspects of a Disney cruise is that once you book your vacation, the details really fall into place without much planning on your part.  You don't have to make family dining or entertainment reservations.  It's all done for you and included in the price of your cruise.

Most everything you'll need to enjoy your Disney cruise vacation is included in the cruise fare -- meals, non-alcoholic beverages, entertainment, parties, activities, events and recreation choices while on board. Plus, since you'll be sailing from Port Canaveral, you'll stop in beautiful Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas. A Disney cruise is simply a great, worry-free vacation designed to cater to each family member individually and as a whole. You'll wonder why you've never cruised with Disney before now!

Let me know if you need more help making booking decisions or if you think of questions after you've made your reservations. I'd be happy to help! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation.

    Bon voyage,
