We are thinking of taking our children to Disney World the week of March 11-16 2018. I am wondering how busy it is in March? Also, is there a rating for how busy the parks are throughout the year?

    Hi Sara,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It's always exciting to be planning a Walt Disney World vacation, and it's great to hear you are beginning your planning early. March can be a very popular time for Guests to plan their Walt Disney World vacation as it coincides with school spring breaks as well as some of the featured cheer and dance team competitions hosted at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. While not a rating per se, the online ticket calendar can show you which weeks and days of the year are categorized as Value, Regular, and Peak. You can also find various websites online that offer their own calendars for reference and planning help. My personal suggestion is always simply this: plan ahead to create your best Walt Disney World vacation experience no matter what time of year you plan to visit. For me, this means planning to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or Disney Vacation Club Resort to take full advantage of Extra Magic Hours, making your dining reservations at 180 days before your arrival date, making your FastPass+ selections at 60 days before your arrival date, and using the My Disney Experience Mobile App to manage your day-to-day plans by knowing about park hours, event schedules, and wait times. Taking these few simple steps can go a long way to making your Walt Disney World vacation even more magical, even if you're visiting during a really popular time of the year.

    Enjoy your Disney!

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
