We are thinking about staying in the WL villas this nov and we are wondering, is it a long walk for little legs to the lodge to eat? We want to stay in a villa that has a good pool and close to the parks, and this was the only hold up on making a decision.

    Hi Michelle!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

Disney's Wilderness Lodge & Villas Resort is my absolute favourite place to stay at Walt Disney World. I would say that you would be absolutely fine, and the walk to the restaurants from the Villas is not necessarily any further away than being in the main lodge in the rooms directly overlooking Bay Lake.

When you check in, you will be shown a map of the resort and the location of your room.  If, by chance, you have been given a room that is farthest away from the Lodge you can request a change of room.  Whenever we stay at Wilderness Lodge I always send a letter - no more than a week before our arrival date - to request the location of our room.  If there is availability, they have always been very accommodating with our request, and we have never been disappointed.  Alternatively you could call them a few days before arrival, and request a Villas room nearest the main Lodge.  Please remember that nothing can be guaranteed, but it is definitely worth asking.

The Villas have a lovely pool area, and the Wilderness Lodge is a wonderful place to stay, and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

If you have any other questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
