I was thinking of staying at the wilderness lodge but the rooms standard stated max. of 4. Does that include counting infants. We have my husband, myself 2 boys and the baby. Thanks

    Hi Tiffany,
Our family (including the grandparents) have enjoyed several stays at the Wilderness Lodge. Why do we keep going back?

As soon as you enter the gates and drive up to the Lodge, you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time to the early 1900s. It is very easy to forget that you are actually in Florida and not in one of the special lodges created long ago by the National Park Service. While you feel removed from the world, you really are only a short boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom.

The lobby is a Northwest-themed masterpiece with a breathtaking stone fireplace. While the theme is rustic you’ll discover deluxe amenities from the upscale Artist Point restaurant to room service dining. Our family likes to go to one of the floors above the lobby and find a cozy place to look over our itinerary or talk about our day. There are wonderful niches with fireplaces and cozy chairs.

Standard accommodations at the Wilderness Lodge have a maximum occupancy of 4 people PLUS a child in a crib. Pak ’n’ Play cribs are available. If you plan to use the crib and don’t see one in your closet, call Housekeeping. Your family can definitely stay in a standard room.

They are a bit small at only 340 sq. feet. Our son especially enjoys the bunk bed rooms, although I find the lighting to be quite dark. The bunk beds seem to make the room appear smaller than the rooms with 2 queen beds. I think your boys would have a great time at this resort. Best wishes!
