We were thinking of staying a week next summer at Fort Wilderness campground in our travel trailer and then a week on our DVC membership at one of the resorts. Where can I park my travel trailer the second week when we are staying in the resort?

    Hi Heather!

I will soon be heading to the Fort Wilderness Campground Resort myself and I can't wait. It is the place we call home every fall.

Since you will be staying at the Fort Wilderness campsites you might have two options for storing your travel trailer during your DVC week. Some of the DVC properties will have large enough parking lots where you can actually park it in the back of a lot. Other locations will not have room such as the Old Key West resort. Last year we had to evacuate the Fort due to a hurricane and stayed at Old Key West but had to park the bus at Port Orleans.

If your DVC resort cannot accommodate your travel trailer easily then ask the manager at the Fort to get permission to park it in the over flow lot there. Usually there are plenty of spots and a temporary parking permit would be available.

It sounds like you will be planning a great summer trip to a magical destination!
