I am thinking about staying at two different resorts on our next trip, right now we're booked for Pop Century but if Port Orleans Riverside opens I thought we'd book half our trip there. Is there a way to make this transition smooth?

    Hi Marcee!

    Welcome to planDisney!

I am so excited to see that you are planning your next vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth in August next year.  I think a split stay is a great idea, and a wonderful way to explore other Resort hotels.  We do not yet have an opening date for Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, but keep your eye on Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go for all the latest updates.

Many procedures have been modified, including Bell Services which has also undergone some adjustments. If you make your reservation for a split stay, your luggage can still be transferred to another Disney Resort hotel for you, just drop it at Bell Services on the morning of your check-out day, and request that they move it for you.  Once you arrive at your second Resort hotel you can either collect it from Bell Services yourself, or call them from your room.  At this time, luggage cannot be delivered to your room unless you are present.

During the phased re-opening of Walt Disney World, we may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience.  Please read this information about Returning to a World of Magic, and Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go, and the Disney Parks Blog provides all the latest official updates as they are announced.

Please know we are working to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, and we look forward to providing an update as soon as we have more information to share.  Come back and ask as many questions as you like!  We are always happy to help you plan your vacation.
