We are thinking of staying at PO Riverside with a 9 and 4 y.o in 8/15 for our 1st WDW trip. Any recommendation of buildings closest to bus stops? How long to get to the various parks? Also, is there a bathtub or only a shower stall in std room? TIA!

    Hello, Gena,

How exciting for you to be planning your first Walt Disney World trip! Port Orleans Riverside has been a favorite resort of ours, especially the Alligator Bayou section. Building 14 and 18 are hands-down our favorite with Building 15 coming in as a close second place. We like these building because they are closest to the main building where the restaurants are as well as one of the bus stops. The main pool is also a short walk from those buildings.

According to Touringplans.com, the commute time from the resort to the theme parks is as follows:
    • Magic Kingdom 21 minutes
    • Epcot 22 minutes
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios 22 minutes
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom 25 minutes
Unless you book a wheelchair accessible room, you should have a bathtub/shower combination.

Thank you for your questions.  Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any more questions as you continue to plan your trip.

    Wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation!
