Hey, howdy, hey Alexandra and welcome to planDisney, Yeeha! You are considering staying at one of our favorites Walt Disney World Resort hotel properties. We fell in love with
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort while visiting during the pandemic. It is the perfect place to relax and have privacy. Being surrounded by nature, you may even forget you are actually at Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds are two separate resorts and the pools at each are benefits of Guests staying at their respective hotels.
Years ago there was a beautiful walking trail between Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds. It was closed in order to build
Cascade Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and other future projects. In the meantime, to get between the two hotels you will need to take a bus or a boat. Ask the front desk when buses leave to go between the Resorts. If going by boat, take the Green Flag Route
water launch to Magic Kingdom Park and switch to the Red Flag Route water launch. It is a nice voyage on Bay Lake and through the Seven Seas Lagoon. As of now the Blue Flag Route between Disney's Contemporary Resort to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds to Disney's Wilderness Lodge is temporarily unavailable.
planDisney Pro Tip: If you do not want to use
Disney Transportation you may want to consider using an Uber/Lyft or
Minnie Van Service by Lyft. We use these when moving between resort hotels and want a direct route.

Alexandra, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
