Thinking about staying in a moderate resort. Which one would have the easiest and shortest access to the parks?

    Hi Amy,

To be honest, there isn't much difference between them.

The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are located in the Magic Kingdom Area, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is located in the Epcot Area, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is located in the Disney's Animal Kingdom Area and both Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside & French Quarter are located in the Downtown Disney Area.

There is a fantastic transportation wizard tool which I like to use available at www.ourlaughingplace.com.

It allows you to enter where you will be travelling to and from within Walt Disney World and then provides details on the best route(s) to take as well as giving an indication of the amount of time that the journey will take. I would add an extra 20 minutes onto each estimated time to allow for the time which may be spent waiting for your designated mode of transport to arrive.

I personally find that Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is the easiest to navigate as it is the smallest of the Moderate Resort hotels and there is only one bus stop which services the Resort. There are multiple bus stops within each of the other Moderate Resort hotels.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
