hi i was thinking about staying at the grand floridian for one night. would it be worth it to stay there or at a cheeper resort on property? also can you tell me what there is there,( like shops, restruants ) thanks

    Hi Kimberly,

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is stunning and, honestly, expensive.  You don't mention if you are planning on going to a park during the day, so my advice would be the following.

If you are staying at the resort to celebrate a special occasion and are planning on being there the entire day, I would definitely spend the money on The Grand Floridian.  You can spend the day by the pool and beach and plan a special dinner in one of the spectacular restaurants at the resort.

If you are planning on spending the day at a park, and just retiring to your room at the end of the evening, I would stay at a more moderately priced resort.  Remember, everyone is always welcome at The Grand Floridian for a visit.  You can come and explore and take advantage of the shops and restaurants without being a Guest of the Resort.  The choice is yours, and rest assured that whichever resort you choose to stay at in Walt Disney World will be wonderful.
