We are thinking about staying at the Grand California Hotel at our upcoming trip. Do we still need to get a park hopper pass if we want to visit both parks in one day?

    Hi there, Angela!

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love that you are considering a stay at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This is my favorite Disneyland Resort Hotel for so many reasons. I am constantly impressed by the amazing lobby, detailed Craftsman-style decor, fantastic amenities, and sensational dining. I love that this elegant resort hotel features so many subtle Disney details at every turn, so keep your eyes peeled.

One of the best benefits to staying at this hotel is a dedicated entrance to Disney California Adventure Park for hotel Guests. This allows you to literally step into the park right from the hotel. It makes heading back to the room a breeze throughout the day as well. If you wish to visit both parks in the same day, you will still need to purchase a Park Hopper ticket even if you are staying in this hotel. We always use Park Hopper tickets when staying here, because we find it more convenient to head back to our room via Disney California Adventure Park even if we are visiting Disneyland Park for the day versus walking through the Downtown Disney District to get to the hotel. Since both parks are only footsteps apart, park hopping is essential for us.

I hope this helps, and please feel free to return if you have any questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
