Hi. We're thinking of staying at Fort Wilderness with our RV. Do folks who stay at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds get early access to the parks? Are there any other benefits from staying on a Disney property? What are *must do* activities at Ft. Wilderness?

Hi Tammi! I love helping those guests who are considering staying at Fort Wilderness campgrounds. I am here now staying in our motor coach and love the friendliness and atmosphere.

Just because you are staying in your own "home on wheels" at the campground you are considered every bit the same as a guest in one of the other resort rooms on property. You will be given all privileges such as early entrance to the parks for Extra Magic Hours, charge to your "room" which is your account, and complimentary transportation. You will also have the opportunity to use the new Magic Bands during your stay where you can link your park tickets, charge to your account, and get fastpasses before you arrive.

With the new Magic Band technology well into the testing stages it is going to be even more important to stay on property. You will have the first access to get the pre-reserved Fastpasses making sure you won't have to stand in long lines for your favorite attractions. Every Disney resort can offer something very magical that will make any families stay the best vacation ever. Disney takes great attention to the details which will wow you.

Fort Wilderness is no different. We love the walks around the property where we see deer, turkey and other wildlife. One of our favorite evening activities is to sit at the beach to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks followed by the Electric Water parade at 9:45pm. Take one evening and head to Chip and Dale's Campfire Singalong to roast some marshmallows and enjoy the entertainment followed by a movie. Visit the Disney stables where the big draft horses call home, eat at Trails End, reserve dinner at Hoop Dee Doo, and rent a golf cart for your stay. Of course don't forget you can book a Segway tour, enjoy the pools, rent a boat, or try out some fishing. The peaceful and friendly atmosphere will win you over on the first day!
