Hi There Gina,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The Epcot area Resort Hotels are fantastic, and I highly recommend staying at either
Disney's Beach Club Resort or
Disney's Yacht Club Resort. From either Resort Hotel you can easily walk to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios or take a Water taxi if you prefer. You can also travel to Magic Kingdom Park by way of the Epcot Monorail (or Bus), giving you access to 3 Theme Parks without needing to use Disney Bus Transportation. The location of these Resort Hotels makes them perfect for quick trips back to the Resort for snacks or a pool break at Stormalong Bay. Stormalong Bay has a lazy river, whirlpools, and a replica of a shipwreck with a 230 ft. long water slide. I also love the Character Dining Experience at
Cape May Cafe located in Disney's Beach Club Resort. You'll get to meet classic Disney Characters while enjoying a delicious "all-you-care-to-enjoy" breakfast buffet. There's no better way to start the day than with Mickey waffles and Mickey himself!
Also,
Disney's BoardWalk is just a short walk from the Resorts and has lots of great entertainment in the evening and, in my opinion, some of the best restaurants on property. My family loves to view Illuminations: Reflections of Earth fireworks on the bridge just before the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. You can enter Epcot through the International Gateway entrance when the Park opens and enjoy the Entertainment and Attractions before World Showcase opens.
Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions!
Magical Wishes,
Susan
