My DH and I were thinking about staying in CBR and wanted to do a dining plan. Now thinking about a villa with a kitchen. Would making our own food be faster than sitting down at a restaurant?

    Hi Brooke!

I usually plan on a Table Service restaurant meal taking 90 minutes at Walt Disney World.  That includes some time for waiting to be seated after arriving at the podium for check-in.  Obviously some meals are shorter and some are longer.

You will have to judge whether you can make a meal faster than 60 to 90 minutes, but when thinking about it, be sure to include time to get back to your resort, especially if you are relying on Disney Transportation.

By the way, some Deluxe Villas are easier to get to than others from various theme parks.  For example, the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge is easy to get to from the Magic Kingdom.  Likewise, it is relatively easy to get to the Beach Club and the Boardwalk from Epcot via the International Gateway entrance between the United Kingdom and France.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
