We are thinking about staying at the Carribean Resort, but the main pool is closed. I have two boys 10 and 7. Will the other pools be fun enough or will they would be disappointed? How crowded would these pools get? How big are the slides added?

The other pools are “quiet” pools in that they do not have any added features such as slides, fountains, etc. If they just want to swim, the other pools will be fine but probably a tad bit disappointing for adventurous kids.

I suspect that the quiet pools won’t be very serene, however the crowd will be spread out throughout the 6 pools rather than all focused at the main themed pool at Old Port Royale.

The temporary slides that have been added to the quiet pools are rather small and probably won’t offer much of a thrill to your boys.

To better help with your decision, see photos of the construction by searching “Caribbean beach resort construction photos” in your search engine. The first hit should be for photos at disboards.com. You’ll see a list of updated photos. Follow any of these links for a visual tour of the construction.

Personally, I would rather take my son to a resort that is not under construction, especially at the main pool since he loves to swim. I would recommend Coronado Springs Resort or Port Orleans Riverside for travelers with adventurous boys. Once the Caribbean Beach Resort re-opens the pool later this year, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tropical moderate resort.
