We are thinking of staying at the Carribean Beach Resort. I have a physical disability and have trouble walking distances. Do you think this resort is accessible? LIke getting from room to pool or food quickly? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Laura,

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a lovely, expansive resort.  Some of the villages are a good distance from Old Port Royale Centertown.  (That's where you'll find the resort's restaurants.  The main feature pool is located here as well).  It sounds like it would be a good idea to reserve a preferred room if you choose this resort.  I heartily encourage you to ask for a room in buildings 25 or 26 in Martinique or building 31 in Trinidad North.  If you have a room in any of these locations, you will have a short walk to the bus stop and to the resort's restaurants.  Be sure to let Disney know of your physical disability when you call to make or revise your reservation.  Then they will be able to find a room that works best for you.

Let us know if you need any additional advice as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation.  We'd be delighted to assist you.
