Hi, we are thinking about splitting our stay between Port Orleans Resort and Art of Animation. Is there a bag transfer service or will we need to move our bags ourselves when we check out of one and into another? Many thanks.

Hi Diana! It sounds like you have chosen two great resorts to split your stay with while on vacation at Walt Disney World. Both resorts offer special experiences and I am sure it will be hard for you to say which you enjoy the most at the end of the trip.

Guests who need to transfer their luggage from one Disney resort to another may do so with the help of the Bell Staff at your resort. Please drop the bags off to them on your day of check out and tell them your new reservation number and resort. They will then make the transfer for you during the day. Please note that your bags might not reach the new resort until later in the afternoon so take anything you will need for the day with you.

Please check out Disney Parks Moms Panelist, Mona Leigh's answer to this Same question a few years ago. The transfer is easy and a wonderful perk when you want to be in the parks instead of lugging your bags from place to place.
