Hello! Thinking of reserving a Fantasmic dining package. Do I need to include my child under 3 years old in the party count even though I don’t need to buy a package for her since she’s under 3?

Hi Karen! Thanks for visiting us at planDisney with your question. I can understand why you have your eye on a Fantasmic! Dining Package. For someone who never misses Mickey Mouse battling evil on the Rivers of America when I'm at Disneyland, it's nice to know I have a special viewing spot waiting for me.

When you make your Fantasmic! Dining Package reservation for any of the dining locations, you should definitely include any under three-year-olds in the Guest count so there is a seat waiting for them! You will not be charged for your dining packages until you arrive and purchase your meals. I hope that's helpful!

If you're looking for a Fantasmic! Dining Package recommendation, Karen, don't sleep on Rancho del Zocalo! I just returned from a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth and had the opportunity to experience this particular package for the first time and I was really impressed! My son and I both really enjoyed our meals - and the portions were huge! Also, Rancho del Zocalo is, in my opinion, your best value for the Fantasmic! Dining Package, as your designated spot is in roughly the same area as it would be if you booked a dining package at Cafe Orleans or River Belle Terrace (standard) - which I have experienced both of those as well. Reservation times for Rancho del Zocalo begin at 11am for lunch (first Fantasmic! showing) and 3:30pm for dinner (second Fantasmic! showing), subject to availability.

After your dining experience, you will receive a voucher to return to your designated viewing area along the Rivers of America later that night. Be aware, Karen, that the Fantasmic! Dining Package viewing areas are seating only. I recommend bringing a small travel blanket, so you have a nice, cozy spot to enjoy the performance. (Tip: If you attend the first showing of Fantasmic!, stay right where you are after the conclusion of the show to enjoy Wondrous Journeys from your Fantasmic! viewing spot, including projections across Rivers of America! Two for one!)

I hope this information has been helpful to you, Karen! I trust you'll be dreaming a fantastic dream in no time. If any other planning questions come up as you're preparing for your upcoming visit, you know where to find us!

    Magic awaits,
    McCayla

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
