We are thinking of renting a stroller for our 3 year old. What sort of storage do the rental strollers have and are they easy to maneuver through the crowds? We just didn't want to have to lug ours on the buses every day.

    Hi Alissa,

The rental strollers available in Walt Disney World parks are made of molded plastic.  They are very easy to maneuver through crowds.  There is a cover on them that provides protection from sun and rain.  As far as storage goes, each stroller has two bottle holders and a pouch on the back.

I know the idea of lugging a stroller onto the buses isn't ideal, so I understand why you're considering rental.  However, I am a HUGE fan of bringing your own stroller.  The resorts are huge, and little legs tend to tire quickly.  Also, it's a lot easier to make it through the airport if you have a stroller.

For our family it's always been easiest to bring a lightweight, umbrella stroller.  They fold up quickly and don't take up a lot of space.  You have to fold them on buses, but you can wheel them right on to the monorail or any boat transportation.

Regardless of which option you choose, make sure you bring something to tie around the handle to identify your stroller - a bandana, a ribbon, etc.  Cast members move strollers to make room for other guests.  Often, the spot where you parked your stroller is not where you'll find it when you get out of an attraction.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
