Hey Martin! Welcome to planDisney! It is so exciting that you are planning to Walt Disney World Resort soon. I’m also pretty jealous that you are a Florida resident and get to purchase
annual passes right now. Oh, and let's not forget those amazingly discounted
Florida resident tickets!
I understand that adding another step to Disney vacation planning can be frustrating. I mean, you figure out all the FastPass tricks, and here comes this Genie. I could have sworn that Genies only come when you rub the lamp, and I didn’t touch a thing! Nevertheless, one thing holds true with Walt Disney World: things are ever-changing.
Operating during a pandemic has been a challenge for many businesses, and Walt Disney World has been no different. Navigating staffing shortages, ensuring enhanced cleaning for guest safety while also throwing
The World's Most Magical Celebration must be quite the balancing act! I would imagine that the
Disney Park Pass reservation system helps Walt Disney World operate more effectively and efficiently. By knowing how many Guests to expect, Disney can maximize the use of their staff and better ensure Guest safety. I like to think that the Park Pass reservation system helps ensure there are plenty of Cast Members around for pixie dust! And selfishly, I enjoy the managed crowds. I get to take awesome pictures in front of Cinderella Castle without any pesky Disney photo bombers! I also like that there is a much higher probability of me landing an
Individual Lightning Lane entrance for
Avatar Flight of Passage with the managed crowds.
I hope this helps, Martin! This pandemic has been tough on us all, but my trips to Walt Disney World are always a high point! Hopefully, you'll soon get the chance to reactivate that coveted annual pass and join the celebration! After all, there are no issues in life while inside “the bubble.” The magic awaits!
Until Next Time,
PG
