I am thinking about purchasing photo pass for my trip this September. Why are there different prices that you can pre-order? I was looking at purchasing the $69.00 package. Does this only give me a limited amount of photos in my digital file? Comparison?

    Hi Kristi!

I'm glad you're checking out Disney's PhotoPass+ service. The family pictures I have that were taken by PhotoPass photographers are awesome!

You might be thinking..."I wonder if he likes them so much because he's in the shots and not behind the camera?"

If that's what you were thinking, then you're absolutely correct. (Just kidding!)

As for your question, that there are two different PhotoPass+ options, one for Disneyland and one for Walt Disney World. They're essentially the same, but the pricing is different (mostly because of the increased photo opportunities at Walt Disney World).

So, the price you mentioned in your question was the Disneyland price. If you'll be traveling to Walt Disney World, you'll have to opt for that package instead.

At Walt Disney World, you have two options to choose from, either PhotoPass+ or the PhotoPass CD. With either choice, you can have an unlimited amount of standard PhotoPass pictures (i.e. from PhotoPass photographers stationed in the theme parks), but the PhotoPass+ will also include access to a wide array of PhotoPass pictures from participating attractions, restaurants, and other experiences.  Those non-standard pictures are available with the PhotoPass CD option, but they cost extra.

(If you get just two of the non-standard pictures, then you'll cover the extra cost of the PhotoPass+.)

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

If you do the advance purchase option for your PhotoPass (which I recommend), you'll get a packet in the mail that has a whole bunch of goodies. One of them will be a redemption code that you'll need in order to have your photos sent to you on a CD. Hang on to that code because I've been told that it can't be recovered or replaced if you lose it!

I hope that helps! Feel free to write back if you should have any additional questions!

    Best regards,
    Derek
