Hi Kim, it's enchanting to hear from you again! I've had the pleasure of using the
Disney PhotoPass service quite a bit with my Inspire Key Pass, so you can count on me to help you with this question!
You are correct that the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass includes unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass digital photos. There are PhotoPass photographers positioned at
magical spots throughout the Resort, and they're ready to capture family memories in true Disney style. It's so nice not having to position everyone for a group photo or squeezing in for a selfie. The photographers will direct your group and set up each shot, so you can be fully present in the moment while they work their magic to create your perfect photos. The photos you get through this service may become some of your favorites.
Make sure you have your theme park tickets set up in the
Disneyland mobile app ahead of your visit. If you choose to get the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll be able to select your first attraction right away. The app also makes it easy to maximize the PhotoPass benefit. One tip is to pull up the map in the app, tap the dropdown at the top, and tap PhotoPass to see where you can have photos taken. Some of my favorite spots include the floral Mickey at the Main Entrance, the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle, the Cars Land entrance, and
various character experiences.
When it's time for your photo to be taken, tap the three horizontal lines at the bottom of the screen (≡) on the mobile app and then tap "Link Photos." I find it easiest to tap the "Show PhotoPass Code" tile so the Cast Member can scan my app to add the photos. There is a PhotoPass gallery in the app where you can view all of your photos. It can be accessed from the app homepage (scroll down to "Disney PhotoPass" and then tap "My Photos"). To download a photo to your device, tap on a photo and then tap "Save."
Now, a note about prints and keepsakes: While the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass includes unlimited digital downloads of your photos, other items, such as prints, magnets, and other photo gifts, will need to be purchased separately. You can choose from a variety of items, such as wall art, calendars, and even mugs, which will serve as beautiful reminders of your adventure. You can access the link to order these items in the same area of the app where you can download photos.
Kim, it looks like you will be visiting in September, when grim grinning ghosts and eerie chills will materialize throughout the Disneyland Resort as part of
Halloween Time. You can expect seasonal versions of favorite attractions, festively dressed characters, spirited decorations, and more. Make sure to use the PhotoPass service to snap a photo in front of the
big Mickey Pumpkin in Town Square, and ask the photographers if there are any seasonal
Magic Shots that will add little surprises to your photos.
I hope this information has added some pixie dust to your planning, Kim. Please reach out if you have any additional questions. We are happy to help.
