Thinking of purchasing an Annual Pass---What are the time limits on the passes?? Expiration date rules ect Thank You

    Welcome Rosanne!

Thanks for posting your question about Annual Passes at Walt Disney World Resort

I love being an Annual Passholder. The very notion that I can walk into any of the Disney theme parks all year long just makes me giddy. I also love the dining and shopping discounts I enjoy every time I show my Annual Pass at a participating store or restaurant. Parking at the theme parks and PhotoPass downloads are complimentary for Annual Passholders, too. Those savings definitely add up.

The expiration date on your Annual Pass will depend on the date you first use it. For instance, last September I purchased my Annual Pass online. Then I linked it immediately to My Disney Experience. However, I didn't use my Annual Pass to enter any of the theme parks until my next visit in mid-October. On the day I entered Disney's Hollywood Studios in October, my 365 day use of my Annual Pass began. So, the clock didn't start ticking on my Annual Pass when I bought it; it started when I first used it. Does that make sense?

If you decide to buy an Annual Pass and you are a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member, be sure to mention your membership because DVC members receive a significant discount on Annual Passes.

Let us know, Rosanne, if you have any additional questions about Annual Passes at Walt Disney World Resort. Many of us on the Disney Parks Moms Panel are Annual Passholders and we'd be delighted to address any questions you may have.

Sending best wishes and pixie dust,
    Jill
