I am thinking to propose during the fireworks show at night. Is there any recommendation on the spot, where to see the fireworks show and propose? I also see someone recommend to propose early during the day, would this be better than night?

    Hello, Tianxiang,

Oh boy! Congratulations. What an exciting experience for you and your significant other. To make this magical moment a reality at The Happiest Place on Earth makes it all the more special.

Obviously, the most popular place to view fireworks spectaculars at the Disneyland Resort is the hub directly in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. If popping the question while fireworks are popping is your goal, I would suggest finding more intimate locations that still have possible views of the fireworks. For example, you might check if reservations are available for the Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace. Another great option might be the terraced viewing areas across from “it’s a small world.” A unique location for fireworks views with a strong possibility of finding a quiet, secluded spot to enjoy the moment together may be found in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Or you may be able to mobile order a New Orleans Mint Julep to share and find a quiet bench in New Orleans Square where you can watch the glimmering reflections of fireworks from the waters of the Rivers of America.

One big advantage of a daytime proposal is that you are more likely to find Disney PhotoPass photographers who may be available to help commemorate your special occasion. A common location to find them is in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, which is also a very popular spot for proposals. For a more intimate location but not far away, you might consider the Snow White Grotto for your special question. If you opt for a daytime proposal, my wife suggests celebrating afterward during the nighttime fireworks would be a very romantic way to culminate your amazing day together.

Tony’s Tip: If you have the Disney Genie+ service added to your theme park tickets or if you purchase it after you arrive, you will be entitled to download all of your Disney PhotoPass photos taken by photographers that day. If you want to surprise your significant other during a photo session, you might choose to inconspicuously slip a pre-written note to your photographer to apprise them of your intentions.

I’m so excited for your special day, Tianxiang. It would be so fun to learn how things go for you. If you have more questions for us here at planDisney, we wouldn’t mind if you slip in a comment about the beginning of your happily ever after.

    Have a magical time, Tianxiang!
