We are thinking about possibly doing a cruise in 2 years. What costs extra on the ship, i.e. what should we be prepared to pay for while onboard? Are dinners included in the cost? Just trying to figure out what kind of budget we need. Thanks

    Ahoy, Sara!

There are many reasons why sailing with Disney Cruise Line is my family's favorite way to vacation, but the main reason is because so much is included in the cost of your cruise!
    • Your roomy, cozy stateroom, designed with families in mind. With lots of storage space and a split bath, Disney's staterooms are some of the largest of any cruise line.
    • Entertainment - from Broadway-style stage shows, to variety shows and deck parties, Disney Cruise Line has something fun to enjoy for cruisers of all ages!
    • With plenty of dining options, from 24-Hour Room Service, to Quick Service windows, to amazingly themed Main Dining venues, it would be impossible to go hungry on a Disney Cruise Line vacation.
    • Children ages 3-17 can spend as much time as they like in the onboard Youth Clubs, with supervision from attentive, highly-trained Youth Counselors - and it's included!
    • Character Meet and Greets are held throughout the day, each day of your sailing. It's so much fun to interact with your favorite Disney Friends!
    • The pool deck features a round-the-clock Beverage Station with soft drinks, tea and coffee, and an all-you-care to enjoy soft-serve ice cream machine. (My favorite spot on the ship!)
There are a few things onboard that you may want to budget a little extra for: spa treatments, shopping, adult dining at Remy or Palo, alcoholic beverages/specialty drinks, nursery services for children ages 6 months to 3 years, gratuities, and Port Adventures come at an added cost. There are also several Onboard Activities that cost extra and require a reservation, such as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique sessions and Adult Beverage tastings/Mixology classes. Any purchases made on the ship will be charged to your Key to the World card, and added to your stateroom account, as the ship is a cashless system.

I hope this helps with your planning and budgeting for a future cruise! Have a magical day! - Diane W.
