hi thinking of Polynesian, Contemporary or Animal kingdom. can you suggest the BEST resturant inside each of these resorts, and also the BEST resturant at another resort close by these 3 resorts? that might help us to decide between these thanks

    Hi Lisa,

This is a really tough question. Suggesting the BEST restaurant depends on a few factors: are you looking for a fun, family dining experience, or are you looking for a signature meal by award winning chefs? For example, Chef Mickey's at Contemporary is a fun dining experience that I wouldn't want to miss with my family; however, California Grill is what I would consider the BEST restaurant at the Contemporary. The food is delicious, and the view of the castle is extraordinary.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is home to Jiko, one of my favorite restaurants, not just in Walt Disney World, but anywhere. Boma and Sanaa are both quite good too. There really are no other restaurants close to this resort. It's not convenient or easy to hop to other resorts, although there are some great restaurants at Downtown Disney and in the parks, themselves.

'Ohana at Polynesian has one of the most fun dinner experiences in all of Walt Disney World. My family loves it there, but the reservation can be difficult to come by. The great thing about Contemporary and Polynesian is that they are easy to get to on the resort monorail. You also have quick access to restaurants at Grand Floridian. 1900 Park Fare has a wonderful character breakfast, and Narcoossees and Citricos are delicious signature restaurants if you're looking for a special meal.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
