Hi Duane,
Welcome to planDisney!
We are delighted to see you stopping by planDisney and I am especially happy to see you planning well in advance of the dates you wish to travel! While we give planning advice, we are not similar to a travel agency that can help you price and book your trip. I will give you some ideas and then, if you need help booking a
vacation package, you may
contact our very helpful cast members! They will be able to get additional details from you, including the number of nights you plan to stay, to help you do some good price comparisons.
First, let's discuss
Disney Resorts Collection hotel options. You all could choose to stay in standard rooms separately. With this option, you could request that your rooms be close together, but that proximity is not guaranteed. If you go this route, I suggest Disney's All-Star Movies, Disney's All-Star Sports, or Disney's All-Star Music resorts. These are value resorts that are typically more budget-friendly. Just keep in mind that, if you will be relying on
Resort Transportation, the All-Star Resorts only have
Walt Disney World® Bus Service. Consider Disney's Pop Century Resort or Disney's Art of Animation Resort to also have access to the
Disney Skyliner.
Since there will be eight people in your party, you could also choose a villa. On our first visit to the Walt Disney World® Resort, we stayed in a 2 Bedroom Villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. It was absolutely lovely. If you go this route, I suggest booking a preferred room so that you are closer to the Carriage House and Dining. I know that you are looking for affordable options, however, consider also the value of time and certain amenities for your group. My family prefers resort hotels within walking distance to one or more theme parks. The value of time is important for us and we love being able to exit the park quickly after the fireworks. So, when we can, we will spend more for rooms at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, all of which are within walking distance or a quick
monorail ride to Magic Kingdom.
As you consider
theme park tickets, I suggest Standard 1 Park Per Day Tickets since you are traveling with two little ones. Just know that everyone on the same room reservation has to have the same vacation package if you book a vacation package. So, that means if you choose to stay together in a villa, everyone would need the same type of theme park tickets and same number of ticket days with a vacation package. Also with a vacation package, if you choose a dining plan, everyone in the same room would need to add the dining plan. You could choose to not do a vacation package, book the villa and let everyone buy their theme park tickets separately. So, keep that in mind as you make your decisions!
Duane, I also suggest that you keep an eye on the
Special Offers. I hope this helps! Keep up the
practically perfect planning and always double-check booking policies and procedures at the time of booking since they could change!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
