We are thinking of planning a trip for Dec.16-23 this year. We have been to Disney many times w/our last visit being May 2010. We normally always go in May/June and are use to the large crowds&wait times. looking for lower crowds is that dec. time good

    Hi Jessie!
I personally think that you may have locked in on the least busy week (or certainly one of them) of the entire year with the dates you have chosen above. The weeks beginning right after Thanksgiving until right up to Christmas are typically some of the least crowded times on the entire resort property.
Even though the weather can be somewhat unpredictable, that is more than made up for with incredibly decreased "wait times" in the parks. Top all of this off with the fact that the parks and resorts are all decked out for the holidays, and you have an absolutely splendid time of year to come. I have been to Walt Disney World in December in both 2009 and 2010, and found the crowds very light, the weather good, and the time magnificent. I highly recommend going at this time!!
    I wish you a Magical vacation!! :)
