Hi Shermekka,
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks for trusting us for helping you plan this visit to my favorite park. Celebrating birthdays at
Magic Kingdom Park has always been a success for me, and this visit is going to be a great one. Ten people is a nice number for a birthday crew. If you are looking for something special to do there are advanced dining reservations you can make for restaurants inside the park.
The Crystal Palace has Winnie the Pooh and other pals from the Hundred Acre Woods visit your table for pictures and autographs. You can also order a cake to be delivered to this location from
Amorette's Pattiseire. These Disney inspired cakes can be ordered 30 days before your visit, and at least 48 hours prior for them to be delivered. The other locations you can send cakes to inside the Magic Kingdom are Liberty Tree Tavern, The Diamond Horseshoe, and Be Our Guest Restaurant. All of these choices are wonderful places to have a meal a well deserved rest.
If you are looking to bypass some of the waits during your park day you can purchase
Lighting Lanes MultiPass. These can be purchased 7 days ahead of your visit if you are a guest at a
Disney Resort Collection Hotel. If you are not, you can purchase them 3 days before your visit. You will be able to pre-plan 3 attractions, and each time you use a Lightning Lane one drops off. Then you can book another one. Unfortunately character access only comes with specific restaurants. But there are plenty of character Meet and Greets spread out throughout the park as well. If you download the
My Disney Experience App you can use the filter and search for them taking the guess work out of it.
One other tip I would like to add is asking a Cast Member for an "I'm Celebrating" button for your grandson. This will gain the attention of Cast Members and guests to wish him a happy birthday. In some cases he may have some extra pixie dust spread his way.
I hope this day at the parks is full of magical memories and fun for all 10 of you kids at heart. Tell Mickey and Minnie I said hi!
See you real soon,
Jeremy A.
