Bonjour!
Welcome back to planDisney, Allison! I am so happy you visited us with your question about
Disneyland Paris, the most magical place in Europe, if you ask me! My family and I have been lucky enough to visit many times. Let's talk about how to plan for your European adventure!
While I drive to Disneyland Paris from the UK, coming from the USA, you will definitely need to fly. You will likely want to look for flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, which is only a
short train ride to Disneyland Paris, which features a high-speed train station within the resort. Other options could be a connecting flight through London Heathrow or London Gatwick.
Now, let's talk about
Disney hotels. Disneyland Paris has 6 hotels a short walk to the two Disney Parks. There is the 5-star
Disneyland Hotel, which has recently had a magical transformation that celebrates Disney royalty. The rest of the hotels celebrate Americana around Lake Disney. The hotels are all at different price points; there really is something for everyone. I particularly enjoy
Disney Hotel Cheyenne, which is themed after the Wild West, and
Disney Sequoia Lodge, which is a celebration of the great National Parks!
You can find Disney
Hotel+Ticket packages on the Disneyland Paris website. These packages are really great value, featuring heavily discounted tickets included in the price. The packages also include entry to the Disney Parks on your arrival and departure days! There is a really useful price comparison tool. We find that using this and amending our check-in date by just a couple of days can make significant savings.
The national currency in France is the Euro, a currency used in many countries across the European continent, which is helpful if you are planning to visit any other locations in Europe. You will have no problem using credit and debit cards at the resort, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. In fact, we have not converted Pounds into Euros for many years, as we find going cashless much more convenient. Another way to avoid taking some cash is to opt for the
Meal Plans available to prepay for your meals at the resort. Whilst we are talking about dining, I have to recommend
Agrabah Cafe Restaurant in Adventureland. This all-you-can-eat restaurant is themed to the world of Aladdin!
Here’s a quick tip for those more familiar with the U.S. Disney Dining reservation windows: Dining reservations at Disneyland Paris can be made as soon as you receive your booking confirmation for a Disney Hotel stay or two months in advance if you’re staying off-site. You can check availability and book directly on the
Disneyland Paris app.
Allison, I hope this helps you as you start to plan this exciting adventure! Please
reach out to me if you have any further questions. I would love to help!
Have a magical day,
Matt
