Hi, We are thinking of planning our first Disney trip with our kids who will be 8 and 4. Is November or February a better time of year to go?

    Hello Lisa!

Congratulations on planning your first magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Your family is going to love all of the endless magic and have a blast creating cherished memories.

This is one tough question! We love visiting in February before the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, but November can also be a wonderful time to go (as long as you try to avoid Thanksgiving week.) Crowds will probably be very similar during each of those months (other than the events mentioned above.) Personally, I'd choose November because many of the Christmas decorations will already be up and you'll be able to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. While every Disney vacation is full of pixie dust adding a little holiday spirit will make your first trip truly memorable.

I hope you have a wonderful time planning out all of the details of your family's first magical adventure. I'd love to help you along the way, so please let us know if there is anything else we may assist you with.

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
