Hi Tony!
Being a Disney fan myself, I am in full support of you saving up to take a Disney cruise. And your long-range planning is quite impressive! After reading what
other Guests have said about their sailing experiences with Captain Mickey, I hope this makes you so excited about an adventure at sea.
Disney Cruise Line does not offer savings or payment plans to finance your cruise. However, you can totally make payments toward a cruise reservation at any time from the initial deposit up until you are required to pay your cruise in full. What I would suggest is creating a special account EARmarked just for your cruise savings and place money in there until you can make your reservation and initial deposit. You’d be amazed how much
money you could put aside for your adventure at sea over the next 4-5 years!
Here’s another way to spread out the costs for you Disney sailing: purchase
Disney gift cards and use those for payments and onboard spending. Did you know you can combine multiple gift cards onto one card? Once you create an account on the Disney Gift Card website, multiple cards can all be consolidated onto a single card (up to $ 1000). Buying a $ 50 or $ 100 gift card every month will really add up quickly.
I know you want your boys to be a certain age before you cruise. But let me just say as someone who waited until her kids were 9 and 5 before we sailed with Captain Mickey that I totally wish we had started earlier! Of course, it was such a big hit with them in part because of the
Youth Clubs, and all the
activities and
entertainment is gEARed to Disney fans no matter their ages. I hope that your boys will feel the same after you sail with Captain Mickey!
Now I hope that you are more eager than ever for a voyage on the high seas with Disney Cruise Line. That makes it so much easier to save those pounds! Since you have quite a bit of lead time between now and your projected sailing, please stop back by planDisney as you navigate the cruise planning waters.
SEA ya real soon!
Sherry
