I am thinking of participating in either the marathon weekend in Jan. or princess 1/2 in Feb. 2012. What are crowd levels like for both times of year? Will levels be lower week after Feb 26? My daughters B-day is the 26th and would stay that following week

    Hi Anne!

Generally speaking, Marathon Weekend in January will have significantly lower crowds in the parks than the Princess Half Marathon Weekend in February.  Crowds will start to go down on Sunday, February 26th with more reduction on Monday, but it will still be higher than in January.

However, the crowds really won't be that bad compared to the busier times of the year.  If it makes more sense from a family perspective to go in February, then you definitely should.  While the crowds are expected to be higher then, it won't be by much and you have a better chance of having warmer weather in February than in January.

    Good luck with your decision!
