I am thinking about participating in the Disney Royal Family 5k. My husband would be my ChEAR squad. I would like my son to participate in a kids race. Would he need a ChEAR squad package as well while I am racing? Thank you in advance.

    Hi Amanda!

The runDisney 5K's are so much fun!  I think you will love the race, so I hope you decide to do it.

The chEAR squad packages are sold for the half marathon race on Sunday.  There are a higher number of participants in this race and more viewing opportunities.  Your husband is more than welcome to be at the 5K start/finish line to cheer you on, but he doesn't need to buy anything.

The Kids Races are great!  Your son will love them, and there is no chEAR squad packages required or available for them.  You will sign him up by age, and feel free to join him on the course to help him out if he gets nervous.  It's just a great way to introduce children to the sport of running and let them experience a "race" too!

Here is a link to the chEAR squad details for Princess Half Marathon weekend.  You can sign up for the Bronze package for free to get some emails about race weekend.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions and good luck with your training!
