Was thinking about ordering a birthday cake for my husband on Sept.trip.Kids,7&5 will love it!Should I order for our dinner@Chef Mickeys or Garden Grill.Any suggestions?Do characters participate w/cake celebration? Also, how do I go about ordering?Thnx:

    Hello Diana,

I'm sure a cake will be the icing to a wonderful birthday celebration for your husband.

Many table service restaurants have six-inch round cakes available for any celebration. Cakes are ready made in chocolate or vanilla. Just talk to a Cast Member when you check in at the restaurant's podium. They can be purchased for $21. This is what we did for my daughter last month at Chef Mickey's. The cake was decorated with edible confetti and came out on a Mickey shaped plate. Too cute!

But if you'd like to have something truly memorable for your husband, you can order a custom made cake from the Disney Bakery. Cakes are available in a variety shapes and flavors. To order, call 407-827-2253.

The characters at Chef Mickey's hold an hourly celebration. So there's no individual singing there. But our birthday cake was brought out to coincide with the celebration.

If I had to choose between Garden Grill and Chef Mickey's, I would choose the Restaurant that's closest to your Resort. Why? You'll likely have leftover cake. And if you want, Cast Members can box up your cake for you to take back to your room. If walking through the Theme Park with your cake is going to be a problem, then I'd choose Chef Mickey's. But if you're walking to your Resort from Epcot, go with Garden Grill.

Hope this helps. And happy birthday to your husband!
