We are thinking about 2 nights at POLY for the experience and ease of transport to/from MK, but the rest of our vaca we will be off-property in condo 1 mile away (less $). Can we make adv dining reservation based off of POLY stay for entire time in parks?

Hi, Diane!  When our family visits Walt Disney World, we tend to move around, too.  As far as the Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) go, it has been my experience that you can base your ADRs off of your reservation with The Polynesian.  However, it's not going to make any difference in terms of the availability. The only thing about dining that would come into play would be the Disney Dining Plan (DDP). Your reservation must be with a Disney Resort for the entire length of your stay in order to take advantage of a DDP.  When you call 407-WDW-DINE or make ADRs on-line, you will need your Disney reservation number and a local number (or cell number).

I hope I understood your question correctly and answered it to your satisfaction.  Feel free to write me back if you need further clarification or have another question. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
