Thinking of next trip Sept/Oct 2013. Can I buy a no experation ticket for my now 9yr old at the child price even though we wouldn't use it until after she is 10/11? If I have this ticket early, would that mess up booking a hotel/tix/dining plan next yr?

    Hi KC,

If you want to purchase a dining plan as part of a fall 2013 vacation package, don't buy a ticket with the no expiration option for your daughter now.  In order to add a Disney dining plan to your vacation package, you will have to purchase tickets (or be an annual pass holder or Disney Vacation Club member) for the fall 2013 trip.  If you already have tickets for a member of your travel party at that time, you won't be eligible to participate in the Disney dining plan.  It sounds like skipping the no expiration option on your daughter's ticket is the way to go.

Additionally, if she is ten- or eleven-years-old when she first presents her ticket for admission to a Disney theme park, a child's ticket will not suffice.  She will need an adult ticket.

Thanks for posting your question to the Moms Panel, KC!  Let us know if you need any additional advice as you make your vacation plans.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
