We are thinking we might need to rent an EVC for my dad who cant walk well and tires out quickly but he would love to ride the train. Is there a spot to load the EVCs so that we can get off at each stop or will we have to leave it and ride all the way back

    Hi Christina,

What a special daughter you are to plan ahead for your dad!  Unfortunately, Guests using ECVs are required to transfer to a wheelchair before boarding the Walt Disney World Railroad.  Courtesy wheelchairs should be available at the stations but you will have to leave his ECV and ride all the way around.

The space for wheelchairs on the train is right behind the engine so its pretty loud there. Its not a large space so only one member of your party will be allowed to sit with him and the rest of your party will be required to board with all the other Guests.

Visit the Mobility Disabilities section on the WDW website to see which rides he'd be able to remain in the ECV, which ones he'd be required to transfer to a wheelchair and which ones require Guests to be mobile to board.

Please feel free to come back with any questions.  I've traveled to WDW a lot with my son who has mobility issues.  Wishing you many magical memories :-)  Allison
