Thinking of making res. for meal with Fantasmic VIP seating. Reading past comments that the seating for this is off to the side and not ideal. Is it worth a guaranteed seat with the dinner res. or just waiting in line for over an hour for a better seat?

    Hi Michelle!

I've had the opportunity to take advantage of the Fantasmic! Dinner Package a number of times and I've never been disappointed.  While the reserved seating is off to the side, I don't think there's such a thing as a bad seat in that amphitheater. I actually prefer the vantage point you get from the VIP section.

For me, the biggest value of this package is that I don't have to get in line at least an hour before show time. So, it helps me keep my vacation as stress-free as possible. (Plus, it gives me a good excuse to eat at one of my favorite restaurants in all of Walt Disney World - The Hollywood Brown Derby!)

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

If you choose to take advantage of the Fantasmic! Dinner Package (which I hope you will), keep your eyes peeled for the ability to exit the amphitheater through the backstage area.  Depending on the night and the crowd levels, the cast members may choose to lead some of the guests out of the amphitheater through a backstage area that leads right to the main gates of Disney's Hollywood Studios.

When they use this overflow exit path, you'll find it by exiting the VIP seating section and heading to your left (if your back is to the stage).  Most guests head to the middle of the amphitheater where the main artery is for entering and exiting.  If you head to the left for that overflow exit, you'll get a huge lead on everyone else if you're heading to the bus stops or the parking lot. (Yet another perk of the Fantasmic! Dinner Package!)

I hope that helps to seal the deal on your decision to take advantage of the Fantasmic! Dinner Package. If you should have any other questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can!

    Best regards,
    Derek
