We were thinking Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. I am wondering where the best places to eat would be? I am Paleo and always have a hard time finding healthy options.

    Dear Felissa:

You'd be surprised at how many restaurants, especially table service, can help you follow the Paleo diet which includes mostly meats, seafood, vegetables, nuts and fruits. When we vacationed with a family member with diet restrictions, we found that at almost every restaurant the servers were proactive, asking us about any restrictions before we could bring it up. Several times the chef came to our table! .

If you're looking for options in Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios, I'd recommend Tony's Town Square or Brown Derby. Brown Derby boasts an extensive menu of meats that include chicken, duck, beef filet, salmon, pork chops, and even rack of lamb that can be served without any sauce accompaniment. Tony's offers a NY Strip that's surprisingly delicious for an Italian restaurant, although the ravioli might tempt me to break any low- or no-carb regimen. The best reason, though, to choose table service is practically having access to your own personal chef who can navigate your needs.

If counter service fits your budget better, consider Pecos Bill's at the Magic Kingdom which allows you to dress your burgers at its "fixins" bar instead of slathering on the condiments in the kitchen. Another favorite is the rotisserie chicken at Cosmic Ray's. Ask for double green beans and skip the mashed potatoes. Options at Hollywood Studios are not as easy to find, but I often opt for the Greek Salad at Studio Catering Company. It's always fresh and you can ask for the feta on the side.

Here's to your healthy and Happy New Year!
