We are thinking about going to DW this June. We have two kids, ages 12 and 2. If we go we are thinking about staying at the Music Resort and adding a meal plan. Here is my question. What is a good meal plan?

    Hi Holly!

If you can fit in your budget, I'd go with the Basic or Standard Dining Plan. I choose this plan because it gives you a little of everything: 1 Snack, 1 Quick Service, and 1 Table Service each night of your stay. The Deluxe gives you all this as well, but our family chose the Deluxe our last 2 Disney visits, and it almost felt like too much eating! Plus, to justify the extra cost getting Deluxe, you almost force yourself to eat even if you're not that hungry. And, we reserved a number of table service meals, which made us feel like the entire vacation was planned off where we would eat. We also have a toddler, who is a picky eater. And even if they share from adult's plate, if they don't like much that's on the plate, they'll start getting a little irritated sitting down for awhile not doing much.

I say Basic over Quick service, because us parents need to be treated at least some of the time (smile), and table service provides that. Thinking of the children, all character meals are table service, so you want to be able to experience some of those with your children...

Hope this helps! Summer fun in the Disney sun sounds Tiggerific!
