We are thinking of doing the Typhoon Lagoon this year. Never been. I have a 6 yr old. I saw they have a shark reef. Can you tell me anything about this, and I wear glasses, can I still wear them and snorkel? Thanks so Much

    Hi Candace!

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is a favorite in my house and one of the gems that makes this park unique is Shark Reef.  It is a saltwater lagoon filled with exotic sea life including stingrays and sharks.  The best part is that it is included in your park admission!

You start by picking up mask, fins and a life vest (if you need it) and head over to the starting point.  There is a platform in the water at the beginning where you can ease into the water.  It's is a chilly 68 degrees, but you get used to it pretty fast.  Once you're in the water, you snorkel from one side to the other while exploring the coral reef and its residents.  Take your time, you can leisurely float your way across.  It's such a great experience that my son, also 6, loves to do it over and over again.

My hubby wears glasses and he has to take them off to be able to wear the mask, which you'll need to be able to see under water.

    Have a magical day!
