I was thinking about doing Typhoon and AK in one day (when AK has EMS til 9),since I've heard that AK is hot! My thinking is that TL can be done in 4-5 hours? kids 9,10. We are only there for 4.5 days late April and want to use 2 days for MK. Any thoughts?

    Hi Kathy!

I think this would work if you visit Typhoon Lagoon first thing in the morning and visit Animal Kingdom some time in the afternoon.  By the way, I think this only works for Animal Kingdom and not another theme park.  That's because many guests are usually ready to leave Animal Kingdom in the afternoon if they got there first thing in the morning; that's why it has a reputation of being a "half day park".

By the way, I will say that I think Animal Kingdom is a great theme park, and I can easily spend more than a day there.  It's a beautiful park with great theming.  If you spend time viewing all of the animals, you will need a lot of time.  A lot of guests, however, only want to do the attractions and shows, skipping all of the walk-through animal trails.

Since a lot of guests will be leaving when you get there, you should be able to accomplish a lot, especially with the evening Extra Magic Hours.  By the way, I suggest having dinner in Tusker House or Yak and Yeti; I personally prefer the buffet at Tusker House, but both are great places to dine.

    Have a magical vacation!
