Hi there, Nancy! Welcome back to planDisney. Thanks so much for coming back to see us with another excellent vacation planning question. I'm happy to help make your vacation wishes come true - no wishing on stars required!
The split stay is definitely a pro move. It gives you the chance to enjoy not one, but two of the amazing properties at
Walt Disney World Resort. If you're anything like me, you have several different favorite resorts, and it can be hard to choose between them! It's totally possible (and super fun) to plan a split stay - and it should be easy to make it work. Let's talk through the steps.
I would recommend booking the
Disney Vacation Club portion of your stay first, as availability can be limited, then securing the second set of dates for a different Disney Collection hotel (even if you plan to start your trip at the hotel). Disney essentially treats the two reservations as two separate vacations, so you won't connect them in any way. This will make it easy to add a
Disney Dining Plan to your DVC stay. To do this, log onto the Member website and navigate to your dashboard. When you click on the reservation, you'll see a menu of options for your trip - including a tile to add a dining plan!
On the day you check out from your first hotel, you can leave your luggage with Bell Services and let them know where you are checking in later. You can then head out for a day of fun in the parks, and your bags will be magically whisked to your second destination! Be sure to keep any medications or other items you might need, like sunscreen or swimsuits, with you - the luggage may not arrive at the DVC resort until later in the day.
Nancy, I hope that this information is just what you need to make some pixie-dusted plans for a 2025 trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, and please come see us again anytime if we can help with additional questions.
Stay Magical!
