Hello, Thinking of doing something we have never done, adding a short cruise to our resort stay. Daughter in wheelchair, can we bring her beach wheelchair too? Some offer first come first served but we are not early risers and she can't go without one.

    Hi, Julie!

You will not regret adding a little surf with your turf on your next Disney vacation! In fact, you may wonder why you've never done it before!

One of the aspects of a Disney Cruise Line (DCL) vacation that I like best is that it is completely do-able for those guests which have family members with disabilities. The ship is completely accessible and accommodating and easy to navigate.

If I were bringing my mom (who requires a wheelchair), I personally would call the reservation specialists with DCL (800/951-3532) in order to request an accessible room and to inquire about where to store her personal equipment. The staterooms do have limited storage, and you would need to store your daughter's various equipment (such as her beach wheelchair) in a separate area. Of course, you'll also want your reservation to note your need to have accessible space for show seating and dining.

I hope this helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
