We are thinking about doing the Family 5k during the January 2013 Marathon Weekend with our sons who will be 8 and 6 and we were wondering if there was a minimum age limit for the family 5k. Thank you

Hi Jennifer!  That is a great idea!  I love doing Family Fun 5K's with my boys.  It's a great, no-pressure, fun way of introducing them to the sport of running!
Here is the official word on the 5K's:
"All ages are welcome to compete. Each participant must be able to complete the 5K on their own unless they have registered for the Stroller division of the 5K."
So, your kids are welcome to join the fun!  You may want to "train" with them a little.  Three miles is a lot for a kid, but they can definitely walk and take their time.  There is plenty of Disney magic and fun along the course.  They will love it!  Have a great time.
