We are thinking of doing a dining package at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom for the Rivers of Light show but have just seen the restaurant is over the other side of the park from the ampitheatre. How long does it take to walk from restaurant to theatre?

    Hi Andrea,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I've always loved Disney's Animal Kingdom. There's just something special about exploring the park's environs that leaves me feeling centered and connected with the wonder and beauty of our natural world. And now with Pandora – The World of Avatar, there is a whole new world to experience.

I enjoyed the opportunity to appreciate the majestic splendor of Rivers of Light and I'm happy to share that I have taken that expedition from the Rivers of Light amphitheater over to the Harambe Market area of Africa near Tusker House Restaurant many times, and it's a short easy jaunt along Discovery River. In my experience, I'd say it's less than a 10 minute walk. (Hint: a certain Internet map service marks it as 3 tenths of a mile and a 6 minute walk).

Andrea, I found Rivers of Light to be simply captivating and breathtaking. I am certain you will love it as well.

    Enjoy your Disney!
